Excellent Grid Examples

  • Windell - I absolutely love the elements that make up Windell's website. The layout is very clean and split into a sensible grid system, design is very clean and minimal, but not at all boring, and the navigation is very easy to use.
  • Maya Marioka's Portfolio - really nice grid technique here, a bit difficult to navigate, though (requires scrolling)
  • YouWorkForThem - nice consistancy in this grid system - easy to anticipate where things will appear which I imagine would help users familiarize themselves with the site more quickly
  • Emigre - not your typical grid layout - almost every "pane" is used... not exactly my favorite as its very busy, but i guess it works
